Lockdown Not Enough, "Find, Isolate, Test, Treat": WHO On Coronavirus
"Asking people to stay at home and shutting down population movement is buying time and reducing the pressure on health systems. But on their own, these measures will not extinguish epidemics," – WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
‘Test’ and ‘Treat’ are matters of capacity that Governments are trying to ramp up during the lockdowns, hoping to slow down the spread of #COVID19. ‘Find’ and ‘Isolate’ through community participation is the way forward to avoid overwhelming the health system. There is a need for greater awareness as more information about the virus becomes available, but presently we lack the tools to support people to self-identify, report, and manage the infection.
Businesses can be part of community action through the TrackBee HR by providing timely support to their employees, especially the frontline staff, who might be exposed to the virus. The TrackBee tool for business helps to keep connected with employees and supports them in prevention, identifying symptoms and accessing treatment. The application is tested and has collected and processed more than million data points to advise stakeholders.
This is an opportunity for businesses to be agile in calibrating their response through crowd sourcing data from employees and support them in managing the pandemic. Such actions result in enhanced engagement with employees.
How does the TrackBee HR work?
TrackBee is a platform for gathering data from different sources through tools for one-on-one surveys, panel based surveys, qualitative interviews, data in the form of voice, video or photographs so that it can be used to ensure the highest quality of analysis to assist decision making and chart strategies going ahead.
Employees and frontline staff can download the application.
They can share their medical status, location, and if they have received any medical attention for Covid-19.
They are identified in the Green, Yellow, Red zones of virus infection and information shared over a heat map in the application to take precautions accordingly.
The application has a SOS button which when clicked connects the user through a call to his/her manager to seek immediate help.
TrackBee HR comes with a dashboard which allows admin controllers to check and issue advisories according to the live status for areas where covid-19 could be spreading
HR can send brief advice through the app and direct resources to act accordingly.
